Local contractor quits Job and refuses to return. Homeowner says contractor was paid.

Blackwell, Oklahoma. Local contractor Charles “Chuck” Wynne is under investigation for allegedly contracting work without a license and embezzling money for materials and work never completed. C1 Construction allegedly was hired for an addition to the house that homeowner Cassandra Gosvener owned. According to Ms. Gosvener the work was never completed according to the contract. Gosvener has filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s office and a lawsuit against Charles “Chuck” Wynne of Newkirk, Oklahoma. Gosvener claims that Wynne never brought the materials paid for multiple times under contract and the work was never completed. The lawsuit of Ms. Gosvener will be heard on June 26th, 2024 at the Kay County courthouse. Ms. Gosvener says she has also had to pay for the materials again due to C1 Construction never upholding the contract initially. Gosvener further claims what work was done has to be refinished due to that work not being substantially up to city code with Blackwell, Oklahoma and the city code regulations. Gosvener hopes to eventually recover a monetary award for the damages she says this contractor caused. Charles Wynne was contacted for comment and denies all allegations. Wynne further denied any interviews from TFINews24.com.

  1. His son ripped me off to. Same situation. Wynne Exteriors. Did horrible work then quit job after he was paid.

  2. Chuck Wynne D/b/a C-1 construction llc has failed many people throughout Kay County Oklahoma & surrounding areas. He did the same thing to us. Paid him to pick up materials, yet the materials never showed. He used many excuses & materials still never showed. I showed him areas that I wanted him to redo & fix. I could see his work was extremely poor. He never did make efforts to take care of the situation. He kept asking for more money than contracted, without doing the work to be paid out, in the contract terms. He also abandoned the job site, packing all he could. He said he was out of money & would need to wait until he finished other jobs & get paid for those jobs. We notified Sheriff regarding him scamming money, breached contract, took money etc. There is an active investigation regarding Chuck. Several others also came forward providing statements in this investigation. He didn’t even come close to proper Codes. Therefore, the place was uninhabitable, with serious safety hazards etc. The CIB (Construction Industries Board) as well as Det. Doing investigation looked at his work. In addition Chuck has been served with several citations. Upon doing further investigating, by myself & husband, we have found he as lived in several other states. He has multiple traffic citations in the past several years. Some bench warrants were issued on him for failure to show to court. He had prior run ins with the law. All of which are public record. I look forward to the hearing soon, regarding all his citations. In addition to the day he gets arrested for criminal fraud charges. He CAN NOT be allowed to continue ripping folks off & relocating to do it all again.
